IMPORTANT:  Please complete the following procedures (where relevant) before submission:

• Clearly mark all exercises (1,2,3, etc) 

• Provide clear instructions in short sentences.

• Provide an answer key for each exercise

• Proof-read EVERYTHING before submission.

• Genuine errors will be corrected by Bibi.  

• Work containing careless errors will not be considered.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• LENGTH:  The piece of writing must be less than 1500 words.

• SUBJECT:  It can be about any subject, eg: business, TEFL, world affairs, sport, music, violence, a serious study of controversial subjects, etc.  Nevertheless, it must be precise and to the point.  No waffling or repetition.

• ORIGINAL:  The work must be your own ONLY.  Please do not send copies of other peoples' work, because we will not accept any more of your work.

• ACCURACY:  Your contribution must contain good grammar constructions, accurate spellings and correct punctuation, as it will be published unaltered, or hardly altered.

• LESSON IDEAS should have pedagogic instructions and/or self-study instructions, together with an indication of level, purpose of exercise and skills practised.

• SHORT STORIES:  please include details of your target readers' age range.

• POOR TASTE:  Any work considered to be in poor taste will be rejected, i.e. anything which is offensive, sexually explicit, or containing expletives and profanities, etc.

• ILLUSTRATIONS:  Work containing illustrations will be considered, but this website has few graphics in order to aid speed of access, so graphics may be omitted.

• FEES:  As this is a free website, no fee can be paid for your work;  however, if exposure is more important to you than reward, then this website can offer you a world-wide audience.

• COPYRIGHT:  The author retains ownership of the copyright and may also have their work published elsewhere.

• PUBLISHING RIGHTS: Work is published on condition that Bibi Baxter has permission for the work to remain on the website indefinitely, regardless of where else it may be published.  This does not affect your right to present your work to other publishers.

• PERMISSION: The work will be published on condition that, if appropriate, lessons can be prepared around the work for the website.  (The original work will not be altered, but errors may be corrected. Lessons will not be prepared for every piece of writing, but the option must be available.)  .

• SUITABILITY:  Bibi Baxter reserves the right to reject any material deemed to be unsuitable;  her decision is final.

• APPROVAL or REJECTION: You will be notified of approval or rejection as soon as possible, but there may be delays due to pressure of work.  If your work is accepted, you will be asked to copy these terms and conditions, sign them and return them to Bibi by post.
