Songs for Group Singing

THE CONTENTS OF THIS PAGE

Fun Songs for Coach Outings etc.

(Ideal for 8 year-olds learning English)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FURTHER PRACTICE

When students have mastered the songs by memory, try the following:-

  • Instruct students to leave out certain words as they sing until all words have gone.  They should  nod their heads for each missing word.

  • Divide the class into groups and allocate certain words to the different groups

  • In order to practise stress and intonation, encourage students to compose their own words to fit the tunes.   They must maintain the same timing.
