  • Play the tape and complete the sentences within the time you have allowed on the tape.  (If you have not allowed enough time, re-record the sentences.)
  • Make this exercise more difficult by adding adjectives, adverbs, relative clauses, passive tense, etc. where possible.

This is a worthwhile exercise.  It is impossible to become fluent in a language unless you can think in that language.  

Task-1:  Think (in English) about someone who has made an impact on you - not necessarily a girlfriend, or boyfriend  · 

Task-2:  Think (in English) or write about something which has made an impact on your attitude to life (e.g. an accident, an article in a newspaper, a TV documentary, a pet, the death of a relative, etc.)

Just follow the instructions.

  • Write a list of words to prompt your thinking.
  • If this skill is new to you, write phrases to help you.
  • Keep your sentences simple.
  • Concentrate on accuracy.
